Meinl's Byzance cymbals are made in the country that may well be the motherland of the cymbal making industry: Turkey. Each individual cymbal is carefully hand-hammered into shape to give it a unique sound, and the 13-inch B13SH Dark Spectrum hi-hats are no different. In developing this pair of hats, Meinl was assisted by drummer Rodney Holmes (Santana, Brecker Brothers, Wayne Shorter). They're made of B20 bronze and various grooves and hammer marks have all been applied by hand.
